We combine world class doctors, industry leading tech, and excellent customer service to bring you the best eye care available anywhere in the world. It really is that simple.
Schedule AppointmentIf a patient is more than 10 minutes late for an appointment, they may need to be rescheduled. This is to ensure patients who arrive on time do not wait longer than necessary to see the doctor and our doctors aren’t delayed for the rest of the day’s patients. If an appointment is available, we will give patients the option to wait for another appointment on the same day. We will try as best to accommodate late‐comers, but cannot compromise the quality and timely care provided to our other patients.
If you realize you won’t be able to make your appointment, please call as soon as you know. Cancellations and rescheduling requests can be made any time up to 24 hours before your appointment. Otherwise, a $30 cancellation/rescheduling fee will be assessed. We understand there are emergencies and remain reasonable, but most can be planned around.
We accept credit cards, debit cards, and cash. We will provide you with a detailed receipt so you can bill your insurance directly for reimbursement, but after a decade of working in healthcare and dealing with shady insurance companies, we've come to recognize the unfortunate truth about health insurance companies; they're last priority is our patients. As a result, Ojos Del Mar doesn’t waste money paying for dedicated staff (typically 2 staff per doctor!) to fight and negotiate with greedy insurance companies, helping us run far more efficiently and allowing us to pass the savings on to you, without sacrificing the quality of care we provide.
For medical visits, some insurances require a referral from your current eye care provider or primary care doctor to have coverage for your visit. To ensure adequate time for assessments, we prefer you or your referring provider send a copy of your referral in advance to referrals@ojosdelmar.com.
